The experience of kindergarten teachers with the integration of Ukrainian children

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá začleňováním dětí s odlišným mateřským jazykem, konkrétně ukrajinských dětí příchozích po vypuknutí válečného konfliktu na Ukrajině. V teoretické části, která má čtyři hlavní kapitoly nejprve vymezuji, koho považujeme za dítě s odlišným mateřským jazykem, proč je nazýváme právě tímto termínem a jak funguje jejich vzdělávání v českých mateřských školách. Dále v ní píši o socializaci dětí a o aktuálních zprávách o Ukrajincích v českých školách. Na to navazuji druhou a třetí kapitolou, ve které se zabývám státními institucemi a neziskovými organizacemi nabízející podporu v tématu začleňování dětí s odlišným jazykem. Poslední kapitola popisuje různé metody výuky a typy organizací výuky. V praktické části je prezentován výzkum, který byl proveden metodou dotazníkového šetření. Hlavním cílem mého výzkumu bylo zjistit, jaké jsou zkušenosti učitelek se začleňováním ukrajinských dětí. Z odpovědí víme, že i přes různé potíže jsou zkušenosti učitelů vesměs pozitivní a učitelky to berou především jako novou zkušenost v jejich praxi. Children with a different mother tongue in preschool education

The aim of the thesis is to describe the adaptation of children with a different mother tongue to preschool education. Under the term children with OMJ, children from Ukraine who began to enter the Czech education system during the year 2022 due to the war conflict are specifically chosen for the diploma thesis. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters, which contain the theoretical basis for the subject matter and are significantly connected with the practical part of the diploma thesis. The content is a definition of the basic concepts of the issue of children with a different mother tongue and characterization of typical developmental aspects in preschool education. Among other things, the theoretical part includes possibilities for support during education and methods of communication, which are suitable to use during language adaptation and development. The practical part deals with qualitative research on the issues defined above. The first part of the qualitative research involves semi-structured interviews with teachers of selected kindergartens in České Budějovice. The second part of the research is participant observation, which took place in one of the private kindergartens also in České Budějovice. The benefit of the thesis can be inspirational for kindergarten teachers who participate in the education of children with a different mother tongue, specifically children from Ukraine. The conclusion of the diploma thesis summarizes the issue of children with a different mother tongue and their adaptation in preschool.

Integration of children of foreigners in kindergarten environment in Prague.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of integration of foreign children living in the Czech Republic, specifically in Prague. The focus is mainly on children whose mother tongue is different from Czech. In the theoretical part, the thesis describes the specifics of the pedagogical approach within the issue, it mentions the current possibilities and legislation setting for the education of children with special educational needs. It acquaints readers with key concepts of the topic, discusses the position of multicultural education in the preschool curriculum, the role of possible racial prejudice and their prevention, intercultural communication and problems associated with child adaptation. It will briefly mention the statistics of the Czech and Prague demographic structure and its development in recent years. The practical part examines the theoretical readiness of teachers to work with preschool children who come from different socio-cultural environments and also face language barriers. It notes the specific needs of foreign children in the integration process into kindergarten. The survey made by qualitative research method by means of interviews with teachers determines the situation in the given area at selected kindergartens in Prague. In the final discussion, there is brief methodological support for teachers, including recommendations from "good" practice, which lead to successful integration of children with different mother tongue into the Czech classroom.

Readiness of kindergarten teachers to work with Vietnamese children

The present text attempts to prepare experts - kindergarten teachers for quality work with children with a different native language - specifically with Vietnamese children. The theoretical part describes important information from the issue of socio-cultural specifics of the Vietnamese minority, to the topic of dealing with the mastery of the Czech language. The theoretical part is devoted to the topic of individual development of kindergarten teachers, multicultural education, and with the integration of Vietnamese children in Czech schools. Support and motivation of teahers in the integration of children with different mother language in nursary schools

The bachelor's thesis is focused on a support and a motivation of nursary schools teachers within the process of integration of children with a different mother language - from the perspective of the school management. The aim of the thesis is to analyze specific supportive tools used by principals as well as institutional services provided in order to help teachers with integrating children with a different mother language at nursary schools. Especially those that may be related to the managerial - leading role. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis contains general definition of basic concepts and legislation related to the topic, different concepts of support at children education with a different mother language and the role of a principal in terms of managerial leadership are mentioned - specifically how the principal can assist his/her teachers within the process of working with children with a different mother language and which tools can be used. Implementation of Simplified Projects of National Operational Programmes 2014-2020 in Relation to Children with Different Mother Tongue in Primary Schools in Prague

The diploma thesis deals with the terms and conditions of specific calls for proposals of national operational programmes 2014-2020, aimed at children with different mother tongue, and implementation of simplified projects in selected primary schools in Prague. The thesis describes relevant grant opportunities and, based on a research survey, evaluates their conditions and implementation process. From the methodological point of view, a qualitative approach and design of a case study are employed. The thesis also points out the relation of street-level bureaucrats to applicants/beneficiaries and explains the reasons why eligible applicants do not request support through simplified projects. In order to accomplish the set research goals and questions, in-depth interviews were conducted with primary school principals, administrators of the considered operational programmes, a representative of the municipal district, and an expert on subsidies for schools. Within the last part of the thesis, recommendations for the creators of relevant calls for their possible modification and recommendations for other principals of primary schools are proposed in order to facilitate the implementation of simplified projects. Integration of children with different maternal language to kindergarten

The objective of this bachelor thesis is to determine the adaptation of children with a different mother tongue into a common nursery school. The theoretical part focuses on child's socialization, language development at preschool age, types of communication. Furthermore, it examines the adaptation of a child into a nursery school environment and possibilities of support of a child with a different mother tongue. The practical part consists of a qualitative research. Integration of four children with a different mother tongue into a common nursery school is described through interviews with pedagogues.
